On Saturday at noon, Mayor Harry Rilling will kick-off the opening at the Center for Contemporary Printmaking, where Norwalk's Talent Education Suzuki School (TESS) students will perform during a “Sketch the Mayor” portrait drawing contest.
Jerry's Artarama, Firing Circuits Art Studios, and Norwalk Rotary Club have generously donated supplies and free creative arts workshop instruction for Children and Adults.
The museums will provide tours and exhibits, there’s also guided tours of historic Pine Island graveyard.
The Center for Contemporary Printmaking will feature specially priced art by international artists on 12”x 12” canvases in a show called “Footprints.”
Entertainment includes local classical guitarists Ed Wright and Annalisa Ewald, and on Sunday, Indie rock band, Remember September, will perform.
Norwalk author Lisa Wilson Grant will be signing her new historical book, “Norwalk.”
Gourmet food trucks will serve up everything from lobster to Poutine, American fare, smoothies, and ice cream.
