Color Field painting is back and contemporary artists are looking to Helen Frankenthaler and Mark Rothko for inspiration. These three critically acclaimed regional abstract artists Katherine Evans, Barbara Sussberg & Rachel Volpone are paying homage to the genre with their expressive use of color in large fields that envelope the viewer while lifting their spirits. As Helen Frankenthaler, a former resident of Darien, CT said "I don't start with color order, but find the colors as I go".
