Salon Etre Celebrates With Their First SoNo Strong Event
George and Thea Tsiranides have opened Salon Etre, a beautiful salon on Washington Street in SoNo! Join them as they celebrate with the whole neighborhood at the “SoNo Strong” Event on May 19th.
George and Thea Tsiranides, both Norwalk born and raised, opened their second beauty business in SoNo in November. They are celebrating with a “SoNo Strong” event on Thursday, May 19th at 6:30 PM, which will be held at their gorgeous new salon, Salon Etre, at 108 Washington Street.
As a showcase for the many different businesses in SoNo, “SoNo Strong” will feature food, drinks and gifts, plus a fabulous fashion show with the latest spring fashion, hair and make up.
Admission to the event is free and there will be a raffle at the end of the evening to win gift certificates and other prizes, donated by the participating businesses. All proceeds from the raffle will benefit the C. Anthony and Jean Whittingham Cancer Center at Norwalk Hospital.
Participants from the SoNo neighborhood include The Spread, Blind Rhino, Local, Beadworks, Cask Republic, Slice of Italy, Saraswati's, Prime Burger, Brach's House of Flowers, O'Neills, Thinq Mac, Chocopologie, Rafael Cakes and Sugar, Mecha Noodle Bar, Match, Washighton Prime and Spiked Seltzer.
The Tsiranides are excited to be adding another SoNo beauty business to their portfolio. Already owners of SoNo Academy in Norwalk, Fairfield County’s most prestigious cosmetology school, the Tsiranides looked no further than SoNo when they decided to open an upscale beauty salon. “We could have looked in Darien, New Canaan, even Westport”, says Thea, “but we think the real opportunity for us is right here in Norwalk”.
With 20+ years as a master colorist at some of the best salons in Fairfield County, Thea always knew that she would return to Norwalk when it was time to open her own place. “My first salon job, 24 years ago, was here at the William Hines Salon. William was the owner and he is also an artist. It's nice to back in the neighborhood and I’ve even kept the connection to William by featuring his paintings in the new salon.”
Join the Tsiranides and the whole SoNo neighborhood at the SoNo Strong Event on May 19th at Salon Etre. Drinks, food and browsing from 6:30-7:30; fashion show from 7:30-8:00; prize drawing at 8:30.
