Please join us for our annual Conversations with Business Leaders lecture with Bob Lord as the guest speaker this year. The event will take place on Sunday, June 12, beginning with a light reception at 3:30 p.m., followed by the lecture at 4:00pm.
BOB LORD is a technology and advertising executive who has recently taken the role of Chief Digital Officer for computing giant IBM. He was formerly President of AOL, responsible for the Worldwide P&L for AOL Advertising and Platform business. In this role, Lord constructed major strategic partnerships with Verizon, Microsoft and NBCU, among others, and oversaw the eventual sale of the company to Verizon. Prior to AOL, Lord spent 13 years with Razorfish, a digital advertising agency which provides cutting-edge media services. Lord began his career at Razorfish as Executive Vice President and became Global CEO in 2009. Additionally, Lord has held various C-level and executive positions over his 30+year career, consistently delivering dramatic results through his expertise in technology, research and marketing.
Lord is the co-author of the book CONVERGE: Transforming Business at the Intersection of Marketing and Technology, which discusses how technology, media, and creativity are uniting and how this shift is revolutionizing marketing and business strategy. He was a TED contributor from 2007-2016 and has served on many Executive Boards over the years including Ad Council, The Nantucket Project, American Association of Advertising Agencies, and Autism Speaks. Currently, Lord serves as Board Member for Screenvision Media.
Lord holds an MBA from Harvard Business School where he was a Corning Glass Works Fellow and a BS of Engineering from Syracuse University. He lives in New Canaan with his wife and children.
