September brings Deborah Pierce Bonnell to the Weir Farm Artist-in-Residence program. As an artist focused on the landscape, trees and plants, Bonnell is tantalized at the thought of spending weeks in the meadows of Weir Farm, and plans to reinterpret scenes that CT impressionists found there 100 years ago. She enjoys painting in oil on canvas and watercolor, but also makes monoprints, and paints in encaustics, a form of pigmented wax. Co-sponsored by Weir Farm Art Center and Weir Farm National Historic Site and presented by Wilton Library. No charge. Registration suggested.
