Find Your Light: The Role of Design in Theatre

Dawn Chiang, Broadway Lighting Designer and LPTW member, leads a conversation with Director Elizabeth Williamson, Costume Designer Tilly Grimes and Scenic Designer Jessica Parks about the visual vocabulary and art contributing to theatrical storytelling. Yes, a story can be told in a black box lit by a single bulb, without costume or sense of place, but Lighting, Set and Costume Designers collaborate to enhance performance, infusing character with subtext, creating atmosphere and space that performers inhabit to convey story to an audience. This will be a unique opportunity to look behind the curtains to see how the magic is created. Please join us for this important event:
