Solo Show
The exhibition features two distinct narratives: the first includes large-format oil paintings that draw from Greek and Roman mythology, that are rooted in a complex web of allegorical, literary and historical reference. These new works -- though they have not been exhibited before -- will be familiar to Lewis' collectors in style and subject. However, a second collection presented at the show are pieces rendered on paper. These were born from the artist's painting series of decaying industrial factories and were created by using a new process inspired by Japanese printmaking.
Mythologies, Fragments, Fiction will be on view through April 4th.
