Le Boudoir, the blow-dry and beauty salon bar which has been making waves with a devoted clientele in New Canaan and Darien, is celebrating its Westport opening on Friday, April 7th by welcoming all new customers with a free shampoo and blow-dry as part of the celebration. Appointments are recommended as space is limited.
Located at 382 Post Road East in Westport’s Compo Shopping Center, Le Boudoir combines a
chic urban-modern vibe with an intimate setting, dark walls and contemporary furnishings. The total effect provides a relaxing experience. The special chairs where you receive the pre-blowout hair wash provide an extra bonus - a pleasant massage to your back and legs. I-pads are also available for the use of all clients.
“The blow-dry is our specialty; it’s the ‘dessert’ of the hair-dressing experience – the instant gratification, says owner/founder, Mamoune Tazi who grew up in Casablanca, Morocco. He studied law in France at the University in Toulouse, but discovered through part time hairdressing experience that his real passion was making women more beautiful. He came to the United States eight years ago, training in a couple high end New York salons before opening his first Le Boudoir in New Canaan.
“We cater to the busy lifestyles of our clients,” says Mamoune. “We don’t do cuts or color, but in just a half hour to forty five minutes, we find that by giving women beautiful hair they not only look gorgeous but also feel more self-confident and amazingly better about themselves overall.” The Le Boudoir motto is “Come pretty, Leave gorgeous.” Make-up consultations and applications are also offered, and walk-ins are welcomed – another example of “instant gratification.”
Le Boudoir also offers at home service for clients and appointments may be booked online, just like ordering a driver from Uber, says Tazi. “We’re all about making everything as convenient as possible for our clients. We’d also like to partner with the community and do benefits such as Girls Night Out for local charities.
