Be There The Moment Artist-in-residence Suzanne Benton Reveals Hidden Messages That Have Been Locked Away in Her Secret Future Work "Ireland" For 26 Years!

Since 1986, Benton has been creating her intricate Secret Future sculpture-vessels around the globe, including the United States, Bangladesh, Bosnia, India, Ireland, Kenya, Tanzania and Spain. She creates and locks each piece and asks the local community where the work was created to place secret messages inside and designates a future opening date on the lock.

See Selections of Katie Settel's Powerful Show (un)Forgotten That is Garnering National and International Attention!

A CT Post story about Katie's new show was picked up by The Associated Press, and now she's just been featured in People! (Click Here) Don't miss her sensitive and compelling images of when she came face-to-face with a difficult family history. Her story sheds light on a time when families with developmentally disabled children were encouraged by medical professionals to send them to institutions. We are honored to present select images from this this ground-breaking and silence-breaking show at Beechwood, with Katie Settel on hand to speak about the issue in person.
