With two floors of ballroom sized gallery spaces and artist studios, this burgeoning group of artists has been in this space since 2004 taking over the abandoned lace factory building. For a time it was also home to an electrical components firm called “Firing Circuits” whose name is still displayed on the building and hence it became the name of the artist space. The artists are juried in by committee and there is a waiting list for studio space.

“Artists love to work out of lofts and this really gives us an authentic loft experience,” Sue Brown Gordon (one of the artists) states. “This space takes away inhibition about being messy while creating arts. And what’s really wonderful about this is that there is a camaraderie and fellowship among the artists. It’s almost as though they are having a dialogue with one another through their art.”

Founded in 2004, Firing Circuits Studios is a burgeoning artist colony of close to 30 local artists. The studios and gallery are located on the second and third floor of a loft style brick building that was originally the Mullhome to Dresden Lace Works factory in 1912. In the 1960’s the building housed Firing Circuits, a manufacturer of electrical components. The logo remains above the door and has become the studio name. It is located in Norwalk, CT at 30 Muller Avenue, Building 10, Norwalk, 06851. Gallery and Studios are only open to the public during their annual open studios held every November or by appointment with one of the artists.
