A new exhibition at Historic Rowayton, “A Change of Plans: Rowayton’s Historic Houses” will open Sunday, May 25 and continue throughout the end of the year. It is curated by Andrea Letters, featuring Rick Pank’s photography. The opening reception on May 25 from 12 to 2 pm is free and open to the public.
“A Change in Plans: Rowayton’s Historic Houses” highlights the historic buildings which have been saved, repurposed and treasured, such as Brendan’s 101, Rowayton Library and the Rowayton Arts Center, as well as those that have been lost. Each building has its own distinctive story to tell.
Houses hold a unique place in the American dream. Homeownership for most is the sign of belonging ¬– to family, neighborhood, town and country. Embodied in the handsome homes that line the streets of Rowayton is testimony to the industriousness of the residents of this small town.
Historic Rowayton is located in Pinkney Park at 177 Rowayton Avenue, Rowayton, Connecticut. Hours are Sundays from 1 to 3 pm – visit the website historicrowayton.org for current information on open hours.
