The Connecticut Folk Festival & Green Expo is a full-day celebration held each year in New Haven’s beautiful Edgerton Park on the Saturday following Labor Day. The event includes music from across the region, delicious food and unique vendors, as well as fun and interesting experiences for kids in the Green Kids Activities area.

The Festival/Expo is dedicated to creating an unforgettable festival experience with an emphasis on sustainability and earth-friendly practices — including a zero waste plan and water fill stations. We take great pride in producing the highest quality musical experiences and presenting innovative environmental resources, as well as sharing one of the most beautiful places in the city, Edgerton Park.

Led By: Toto Kisaku, Artist in Residence, International Festival o Arts & Ideas
The Petit Studio promotes a shared space where young people can experience and create around books, words, and sounds. A place to dramatize and recreate a universe that emanates from writerr from every part of the globe. The workshop culminates in a performance: the costume group dresses their characters, who now read their individual parts, with the sound effects groups adding the appropriate accompaniment. There is much laughter and enthusiastic participation as the young people experience the joy of creating together.
